{"id":112,"date":"2011-06-02T22:17:57","date_gmt":"2011-06-02T22:17:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.diywebmastery.com\/subscriptionboss\/?p=112"},"modified":"2013-04-23T00:32:24","modified_gmt":"2013-04-23T00:32:24","slug":"step-3-configure-infusionsoft-settings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.subscriptionboss.com\/members\/112\/step-3-configure-infusionsoft-settings","title":{"rendered":"Step 3 &#8211; Configure Infusionsoft Settings"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>3.1 &#8211; Open two browser windows and a plain text editor<\/h2>\n<div class=\"step\">\n<ol>\n<li>Open a browser window, and in it go to your WordPress site, log in and go to the SubscriptionBoss plugin settings page by clicking the settings link in the SubscriptionBoss section on the left side of the dashboard. <\/li>\n<li>Open another browser window and log into your Infusionsoft account.<\/li>\n<li>Open a plain text editor window, like Notepad on Windows or TextEdit on a MAC.<\/li>\n<li>Paste the following five lines of text into the text editor. Make sure they are all on different lines just as they are shown here. These will be the labels for each of the values you are about to paste.\n<ul class=\"plain\">\n<li>Infusionsoft API Signature  :&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Infusionsoft Contact Profile :&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Infusionsoft Contact Transaction :&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Infusionsoft Subscription Profile:&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Infusionsoft Order Transaction :&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Save the text file to your desktop, (any file name will do), but don&#8217;t close the file.<\/li>\n<li>Leave both browser windows and the notepad window, open as we will be flipping between all three windows soon.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<h2>3.2 &#8211; Add PayPal Payment Type to Infusionsoft<\/h2>\n<div class=\"step\">\n<ol>\n<li>From the main navigation menu click on the <span class=\"instruct\">E-Commerce Tab Settings<\/span> tab<\/li>\n<li>On the left, click on the <span class=\"instruct\">Orders<\/span> tab on the left.<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down to the <span class=\"instruct\">Billing<\/span> section and add <span class=\"instruct\">PayPal<\/span> to the list of payments types. Do this by typing <span class=\"instruct\">PayPal<\/span> into the box directly underneath the other payment types. Please note that there are 2 upper case &#8216;P&#8217;s in PayPal<\/li>\n<li>Click on the <span class=\"instruct\">Save button<\/span>, at the very bottom of the page<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<h2>3.3 &#8211; Save Your Infusionsoft API Signature <\/h2>\n<div class=\"step\">\n<ol>\n<li>Click on the <span class=\"instruct\">Admin Settings<\/span> tab<\/li>\n<li>Then click the <span class=\"instruct\">Application<\/span> tab on the left<\/li>\n<li>Then scroll down the page and copy your <span class=\"instruct\">Infusionsoft Encrypted Key<\/span>. It is a very long string of characters. <\/li>\n<li>Go to your open text editor window, and paste the string you just copied next to the label <span class=\"instruct\">Infusionsoft API Signature<\/span> and click on <span class=\"instruct\">Save<\/span>, to save the contents of the text file.  You have just saved your <span class=\"instruct\">Infusionsoft API Signature<\/span> in a safe place.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<h2>3.4 &#8211; Save Your Infusionsoft Contact Profile and Transaction Ids<\/h2>\n<div class=\"step\">\n<ol>\n<li>In your Infusionsoft menu, click on <span class=\"instruct\">Admin Settings<\/span> tab<\/li>\n<li>If you are not already there, on the left, click on the <span class=\"instruct\">General<\/span> tab on the left.<\/li>\n<li>In the <span class=\"instruct\">Custom Fields<\/span> section, select <span class=\"instruct\">Contact<\/span> from the dropdown and then click on <span class=\"instruct\">Go<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>At the top of the page, select <span class=\"instruct\">Field<\/span> from the dropdown and then click on the <span class=\"instruct\">Add<\/span> button. <\/li>\n<li>Type <span class=\"instruct\">paypal_profile_id<\/span> for the field name and click the <span class=\"instruct\">Save this Field<\/span> button<\/li>\n<li>In the same way, add another field called <span class=\"instruct\">paypal_transaction_id<\/span>, and then click the <span class=\"instruct\">Save this Field<\/span> button<\/li>\n<li>Next, click the <span class=\"instruct\">View the field database names (for the API)<\/span> link which you will find as indicated below.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/images.subscriptionboss.com\/setup\/view-database-names.png\" alt=\"View database names\" \/>\n<\/li>\n<li>A pop-up window appears with a list of labels, types and database names. For example <span class=\"instruct\">paypaltransactionid<\/span> becomes <span class=\"instruct\">_paypaltransactionid<\/span> <\/li>\n<li>When you are finished your text file should look something like this. (Of course, yours will not have zzzzz or xxxxxx values, they will instead be the values you pasted. But note you must have the underscores, as shown here marked in <span class=\"highlight\">red<\/span>.)\n<ul class=\"plain\">\n<li>Infusionsoft Encrypted Key : zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz<\/li>\n<li>Infusionsoft Contact Profile : <span class=\"highlight\">_<\/span>xxxxxxxx<\/li>\n<li>Infusionsoft Contact Transaction : <span class=\"highlight\">_<\/span>xxxxxxxx<\/li>\n<li>Infusionsoft Subscription Profile: <span class=\"highlight\">_<\/span>xxxxxxxx <\/li>\n<li>Infusionsoft Order Transaction : <span class=\"highlight\">_<\/span>xxxxxxxx<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<h2>3.8 &#8211; Add Saved Values To SubscriptionBoss<\/h2>\n<div class=\"step\">\n<ol>\n<li>Next, copy and <strong>paste all five<\/strong> saved values (just the values, not the labels), one at a time, from the text file to the SubscriptionBoss settings page on your WordPress site. The fields in SubscriptionBoss are given the same name as the labels you have in your text editor.
